Arbor Day: Plant 100 Trees
Northeast Community Park to Plant 100 Trees with Help from Missouri Department of Conservation
Community Invited to Join Beautification Effort on April 26
Springfield, MO — Northeast Community Park, in partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation, will be planting 100 trees on Saturday, April 26, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the public is invited to take part in this exciting beautification effort.
This community tree planting event is open to volunteers of all ages, and participation is encouraged as a way to invest in the health and beauty of the park—and the broader Northeast Springfield area. Volunteers are asked to pre-register online, though walk-up volunteers are also welcome.
“This event is about more than just trees,” said aJoe Sardo, Park Development Director. “It’s about bringing people together to grow something lasting for future generations.”
In addition to tree planting, the event will feature a free photo booth for participants to capture the moment and a limited number of free T-shirts available for volunteers while supplies last.
The tree planting is part of an ongoing effort to enhance Northeast Community Park as a vibrant green space for families, schools, and neighbors. By working together, organizers hope to inspire continued community engagement and environmental stewardship.
